Questions frequently asked by prospective tenants

After successfully completing our pre-screening process. This includes completing an online application form and submission of the following documentation:

  • Certified ID copy (not older than 3 months)
  • Proof of current address (not older than 3 months)
  • Latest 3 months payslips
  • Latest 3 months bank statements reflecting the salary
Must I have full time employment to qualify to rent an apartment?

Yes. For all adult occupants of the apartment, full time employment with a reputable company / firm / institution is non-negotiable. The person occupying the apartment must be the one earning the salary.

Where there is more than one adult occupant (excl. the nanny where applicable), both have to complete the online application form and submit the required supporting documentation as both will be required to co-sign the Lease Agreement.

Do I need to have a completely clean Credit Report to qualify?

While clean Credit Reports are preferred, we consider negative Credit History on a case-by-case basis. Should you have a negative Credit History, it is important that you dislcose this upfront in the online form.

How much is the security deposit and when am I required to pay it?

The full security deposit ( which is 1 month’s rent) and the first month’s rent are payable within 24 hours of signing the Lease Agreement, together with an Admin fee of R1 000.
